The SchoolWhat we stand for

THE WOLMER’S TRUST HIGH SCHOOL FOR BOYS is dedicated to the continued development of well-rounded and balanced young men who are academically sound, athletically gifted, socially conscious and ready to build on the rich legacy of game-changers who have passed through these hallowed halls.

Founded in 1729 after the death of John Wolmer who left in his will £2,300 from his estate to start a "Free School" in his parish, Wolmer's started with an enrollment of 500 boys.

Wolmer's Boys' School now caters to a diverse group of young men from different backgrounds with an enrollment of 1506 students, between the ages of 11 and 17. A significant number of our students, including athletes, move on to pursue studies locally and overseas.

I desire that all the Rest and Residue of all my Estate both Reall and Personall shall be put upon Interest at the discretion of my Executors for the Foundation of a Free School in the Parish where I shall happen to Dye. And lastly I nominate and appoint the said Michael Atkins, Merchant and Samuel Kemermain, Planter, to be the sole Executors of this my Last Will and Testament declaring all others or former Wills and Testaments Void and no Effect.
All in my own handwriting on(e) and Twenty May One Thousand Seven under Twenty-Nine.
